Christmas 2020 will have to be different. With Covid-19 there is no getting away from that.
We know that many planned events won’t be happening, and a lot of activity will be online. Families will be put in the dilemma of how to be with people they love but have to work within restrictions and told it’s not safe to do so.
When we realised that we couldn’t run our Christmas Lights Switch On events, or have everyone squeezed into Oikos for the annual Evening of Creativity Christmas Special – we started to think about what could we do instead. How could we help bring some joy and Christmas spirit across Erdington?
Light Up Christmas in Erdington! A Christmas call to action to find alternative and creative ways to enjoy this festive period together even if it has to be socially distanced.
There are 3 way to get involved
1) decorate and light up your house/business/premises
2) check out a list of online and socially distanced activities you can join in with across the area
3) share creative ideas for people to enjoy Christmas despite rules and challenges
We will share information of what is happening across Erdington via this website. Please feel free to send us activities to add to the programme or ideas for how to do things differently this Christmas in the comments at the bottom of the page or email us on activeartscv@gmail.com
