CV3 – Urban Street Arts Project

Aerosol artist Mohammed Ali worked with young people and residents to learn about Castle Vale and the things important to us in our community to create a new piece of public art.

Taking a dishevelled building in Farnborough Fields near Vale Stadium, volunteers prepped the site for Mohammed with colleague Matt Reeves to take the concept artwork above to create the finished piece below.

Please do come and visit the site to see for yourself the work and if you stand in the right place at the right time you can see a train move in complete unison to the work. The soundtrack that accompanies the 3D view of the piece was also created by Mohammed from interviews with local residents about the area.
