Castle Vale Community Awards – NOMINATE NOW (Deadline 11th August)

Do you know someone that deserves recognition for the great things they do?

This year’s Castle Vale Community Awards will take place on Friday 16th October at Greenwood Academy.

The nominations round is open for the categories in which we shortlist the top 3 or 4 people before we ask you to vote in September.

Shortlisting Round – Now Open Till Tuesday 11th August 10am

We are currently seeking nominations for our main categories:

  • Valued Contribution Award
  • Young Person’s Award
  • Volunteer of the Year Award
  • Arts and Creativity Award
  • Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Award

If you would like to put someone forward to be considered for the shortlist in the categories above please email activeartscv@gmail.com or complete the online form here: Nomination Form

_DSC2178We will need their full name, contact details, the reason why you think they should be shortlisted, the category nominated for and your contact details.

Please note that submitting a form does not guarantee that your nomination will be shortlisted – this is down to the panel’s decision based on the terms, the criteria for the award and selecting the top names they believe are best to put forward taking into account the information provided as to the reason for nomination.

Please complete the form more than once if you wish to nominate more than one person/group/organisation for an award.

Award Category Descriptions

The Valued Contribution award is for those who have done more than could be imagined and helped to make Castle Vale a great place to live.

The Young Person’s award is to recognise those under 25 years old who have volunteered or helped others beyond expectations.

The Volunteer of the Year award recognises those who give their time to make things happen in Castle Vale e.g. supports activities, supports events, helps behind the scenes

The Arts and Creativity award is for those who should be recognised for their participation in or leading of an arts or creative activity/event (including visual, performing and digital arts)

The Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing award is for a person, team or group that should be recognised for their participation in or leading of any sports, fitness or wellbeing activity

Additional award categories to be given at the next voting stage.  Sponsors may choose to create their own award category – please contact Claire Marshall on activeartscv@gmail.com or Carla Belle on carlab@cvcha.org.uk if you would like to do this.

Through the Neighbourhood Partnership, public service planning and delivery will be truly responsive to local needs and residents will continue to play a full and active part in driving the priorities for services.
