Castle Vale Day Is Here

Castle Vale Day 2014

Today Friday 19th September is Castle Vale Day 2014.

It’s a day where we ask for people to be proud of where they live or work and if you’re not from the area to come down and visit us and meet a few people.

You can do this in 3 ways today.

1. Decorate the estate – all day
Flags, bunting, or whatever ideas you have to get involved in the spirit of the day.  Click the weblink above for ideas and the bunting template if you fancy making something quick this morning.  You can also buy a pin badge to show your involvement either at The Sanctuary, CVCHA and now on site at The Big Top.

2. The Big Lunch – 1pm-2pm – £2.50
Visit The Sanctuary and enjoy a jacket potato and fillings with a drink or St Cuthbert’s Church for either soup or spaghetti bolognese plus a drink.  We hear there maybe some tasty cakes as well!
*Please note there’s no Big Lunch at Vale Stadium as previously advertised but we highly recommend one of the other two.

3. Live and Local – 6pm-9pm – £3
See some fantastic local talent including Generations choir, the Youngstars, Vale’s Got Talent winner 2014 Laura Green and special Guest Shelley Smith who was an  X Factor finalist in 2014.

Plus why don’t you tell us about your experiences today and anything you decide to do.  For example we know that Tiggy Winkles Nurseries are getting involved by dressing up as butterflies and having their own Big Lunch with invited parents today.

We are now set up on site – which some of you may have noticed with our signature purple and white circus tent – so do come and visit us especially if you want to find out more and meet the team behind the event.

Finally a reminder to get baking if you haven’t done yet – I have some judges who are looking forward to trying those tasty cakes! For more details check out the Great Castle Vale Bake Off.
