Welsh National Opera Project sharing: Horizons 12th June

We have a great opportunity open to the public to see some of the work of one of the projects we are in partnership with.

On Tuesday 12th June from 6-7pm come and join us at Castle Vale Performing Arts College for a special sneak peak at some new music created from working with residents at The Ridings.

Welsh National Opera have had a team of artists working at the care home as well as in a school in Sheldon Heath, as part of a project to create a new opera film that will be completed in the summer of 2013.

This brilliant opportunity to share some of the work in advance has come from funds from the ETF that AACV applied for – it also provided additional workshops at The Ridings which staff and residents have enjoyed so much.

It’s such an amazing experience to bring to Castle Vale for all involved and this will be a great night out if would like to know more about the project or just to enjoy some live music performed by a string quartet and 3 soloists from Welsh National Opera.  But don’t be put off if you think you don’t like opera – this is something a bit different to what you may think opera is.

The event is free, open to all and we hope you can join us.  For more information you can contact claire.marshall@mac.com If you can come and want to reserve seats then do get in touch.
